FAQ

Frequently asked questions

What is Etagia?

Etagia is a web application for Swiss Stockwerkeigentümergemeinschaften (STWEG, condominium associations) that manage themselves without a professional property manager. It covers the budget, advance-contribution invoices with Swiss QR-bill, bank statement import, the annual statement, owners' meetings with quorum and minutes, documents and announcements. The owners keep the decisions; Etagia does the calculating and the record-keeping.

Who is Etagia for?

Mainly small, self-administered STWEG communities in Switzerland, from 2 to about 15 units. Property managers who take over small mandates are a second audience. Larger communities can get in touch for a custom quote.

How much does Etagia cost?

CHF 480 per year including the first two units, plus CHF 90 per year for each additional unit, billed once a year by QR-bill invoice and including VAT where applicable. There is no setup fee and no per-owner fee. The contract term is 12 months and renews automatically.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. Each community gets 30 days free, without entering payment details. After the trial the account becomes read-only until a payment is made; data stays viewable and downloadable.

Where is my data hosted?

On servers in Switzerland. The marketing site uses cookieless, self-hosted analytics and no tracking cookies. See etagia.ch for the privacy policy and the data-processing agreement.

Which languages does Etagia support?

The interface, invoices and reports are available in German, French and Italian, with Swiss number and date formatting. There is no English interface yet.

Does Etagia replace a property manager?

It replaces the spreadsheet-and-paper work, not the responsibility. The community still runs its meetings, works with tradespeople and authorities, and carries responsibility for its decisions; Etagia does not provide liability cover of a professional administrator.
